As a Nutrition Central franchise we will give you the tools, info, and business connections to become successful.

1) We will do product training to bring you up to date on the most current scientific research regarding the supplements in your store so you will be a true expert at the products you’re selling. It is important to us that you understand some of the most basic things that surprisingly most nutrition store owners and employees don’t know such as:
– how to read an ingredient label and spot cheap or inferior ingredients
– what all the different proteins are, how they’re manufactured, and when they should be used
– how to decipher “proprietary blends”

2) We will provide you with all company logos, help you set up accounts with all of our distributors (you’ll recieve all our corporate discounts we’ve built up over the years), help you with designing your store, and give you all our contacts with vendor reps, printshops, web designers, and anything else you may need.

Franchising A Wholesale Nutrition Store

Currently, the concept of a wholesale nutrition store is unheard of to most states in the country. Here in Houston, TX it’s very common but to my knowledge states such as California, Florida, Missouri, and Illinois are the only states that it is common to see a nutrition store selling at “manufacturer’s base wholesale” prices. When I lived in Virginia/Washington DC area everyone shopped at national retail chains and thought nothing of it. So how does a nutrition store make money selling products at 30-40% less than national retail chains? I’m glad you asked.

1) We buy at 25-30% below base wholesale, and mark up to wholesale or slightly above so to achieve a 30% target margin. Monthly sales are anywhere from $25,000 to $100,000 per month depending on specific factors affecting the market area.

2) When customers buy products from a national retailer, they’re paying for large corporate overhead, such as ridiculous amounts of advertising, obnoxious executive salaries, customer service department staff, etc. At Nutrition Central, we use a lean business model that involves no excessive advertising (franchisee’s are in control of their advertising budget) and no corporate overhead. You sell product, make a 30% margin, pay your bills, and keep the rest.
